«Life in lines»

2022

War is one of the cruelest ways to resolve conflicts between countries.Unfortunately, it always comes with fear, suffering, and death. Civilian casualties are one of the most painful and tragic
consequences of war.
Fear is a normal reaction to danger, and war is one of the greatest dangers to humanity. Civilians who find themselves in a war zone experience extremetension and anxiety. They do not know when and where the next shelling or explosion will occur, creating extremely frightening conditions for life.
In addition to fear, war leads to loss of life and property. People lose their homes, cars, money, relatives, and friends. Many people who have survived the war return to their hometowns to see what is left of their lives. Others lose everything they had and are forced to start over from
scratch.
"Life in the Lines" is a small photo project about the war in Ukraine. It was created in my hometown of Malyn, Zhytomyr region, during the summer of 2022,and one photo was taken in Kyiv. It was the first summer with a full-scale war in our country. The consequences of the bombing were visible
everywhere.
Destroyed bridges, churches, military bases, and people... they were also destroyed inside. It was visible on their faces. This is an emotion that is difficult to describe in words. Everything looked sad and helpless, and even animals had hopeless eyes because they were afraid of the bombing.
